About Program
Combined Arts Program is based on an interdisciplinary understanding of arts education. Within this framework, students are expectd to gain experience in a variety technical and applied practices and to stage this experience throught the numerous media of expression of today's art. Such an approach, by its nature,necessiates a dynamic and productive formation in arts. In this 4-year program, both the structure of workshops and the relations between and the wieght of theoretical and practical courses are designed accordign to the abovementioned approach.
When the multilingual and multimedial aspects of today's art are taken into account, the core aim of this program presents itself as creative students who are able to respond to the necessities of our age, combine a variety of materials and methods to discover novel modes of expression. Therefore, the Combines Arts Program, by its definition, could be regarded as a pluralist understanding of art that attaches importance to interactive affects among a plethora of orms of art and contemporary forms of presentation and expression.
MISSION
- To train potential artists that are able to follow the new approaches and technological advances in the field of art who have a sound knowledge of art terminology and concepts as well as a wide general culture and theorerical base.
- To enable these potential artists to understand the principles of both individual and collective work, to collaborate in order to produce projects to solve problems of art with artists and scientists from different disciplines
- To have students and thus potential artists realize the importance of collaborative art and interactive processes by using a variety of materials, techniques as well as ways of expression.
VISION
To become a program that trains potential and pioneering artists who have a developed sense of arts, can execute interdisicplinary works in art and can act on the necessities of contemporary art world, who can make use of their knowledge base in various fields in the world of art.
